About the Role
As a founding member of the engineering team, you will bridge the gap between product vision and technical execution. You will build, ship, and maintain core user-facing applications, working closely with founders and the design team. This role involves translating complex requirements into functional applications, with ownership over the entire product lifecycle from concept to production monitoring. Your work will directly contribute to tools that enhance healthcare safety.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development of new user-facing features, from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with designers to translate Figma prototypes into pixel-perfect, responsive, and intuitive web applications.
- Build and maintain all components of the product, including front-end and back-end APIs and services.
- Act as a product owner, rapidly prototyping ideas, participating in user feedback sessions, and advocating for the best user experience.
- Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment processes.
- Champion high standards for code quality, testing, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with founders, designers, and the AI research team to solve complex problems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer with a track record of building and shipping user-facing products.
- Deep expertise in modern web technologies, including a front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue), TypeScript, design systems, and document databases.
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong product intuition and a keen eye for design.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience as an early-stage employee at a startup is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare data, electronic health records (EHRs), or interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7) is a major plus.
- Experience building or using design systems is preferred.
