About the Role
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead a team dedicated to keeping our communities safe, beautiful, and fully operational. This role combines hands-on maintenance expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure resident satisfaction and property preservation. The Maintenance Supervisor at Altitude Apartments is eligible for a 100% apartment allowance if living on-site.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform maintenance repairs across the property.
- Schedule and monitor preventative maintenance programs.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Manage service requests using Yardi or similar software.
- Maintain budgets and inventory for maintenance supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and company policies.
- Lead and develop a diverse maintenance team.
- Provide feedback and coaching for performance improvement.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents.
- Work safely and cooperatively with others, including supervisors.
- Adhere to performance standards despite stressful conditions.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- HVAC-EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal certification is required.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification strongly preferred. Associates hired without a CPO certification will be required to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Three or more years’ hands-on apartment or building maintenance experience required.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Experience with Yardi or other property management accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair work.
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Criminal history may have a direct, adverse, and negative relationship with some of the material job duties of this position.
