About the Role

The Store Pro is the primary point of contact for customers in the retail store, representing the NAPA brand and delivering a high-quality customer experience. This role provides automotive parts solutions, supports retail and wholesale customers, and contributes to store performance through product knowledge, responsiveness, and customer engagement. It offers a strong entry point or growth path within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate automotive parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers.
  • Deliver a consistently positive and engaging customer experience.
  • Utilize product knowledge to assist customers and support team members.
  • Operate systems including POS, inventory/catalog tools, and communication devices.
  • Maintain high energy and customer focus in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Support store operations including transactions, inquiries, and general workflow.
  • Build relationships with customers to drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Utilize delivery management systems to coordinate and dispatch deliveries, pull and prepare orders for customers and drivers, and support efficient logistics and fulfillment operations.
  • Perform general housekeeping, cleaning, and organizational tasks to maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming store environment.
  • Assist with inventory control activities, including receiving merchandise, stocking shelves, conducting cycle counts, and helping maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Contribute to various store operations and team support tasks as needed to optimize store performance, merchandising, and overall efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to store processes and operational standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong listening and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to learn automotive parts and technology systems
  • Experience in automotive, retail, or parts environment
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle repair or maintenance
  • Knowledge of inventory or cataloging systems
  • Background in automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, farm, marine, or dealership environments
  • ASE Certification (not required)
  • Demonstrates personal accountability and ownership of customer outcomes
  • Leads by example in delivering exceptional customer service
  • Supports team members by sharing knowledge and assisting with problem-solving
  • Contributes to a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team environment
  • Shows initiative in learning and career development
