About the Role
BRC staff help New Yorkers experiencing homelessness reclaim their lives by providing a hand up, offering opportunities for health and self-sufficiency, and restoring hope and dignity. Each and every BRC staff member makes heroic contributions to our city, providing vital services in times of crisis and need.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, serve and clean up after meals.
- Responsible for proper storage of food.
- Maintain refrigerators, freezers, and other appliances.
- Receive food deliveries.
- Pick up food and supplies as needed.
- Assist with general cleaning of facilities as needed.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have certificate in food protection.
- TB clearance required.
- Vaccination preferred but not required.
Work Type
- Full-time
- 37.5 hours per week
- Sunday-Thursday 11am-7:30pm
Education Level
- HS diploma or GED preferred.
