About the Role

BRC staff help New Yorkers experiencing homelessness reclaim their lives by providing a hand up, offering opportunities for health and self-sufficiency, and restoring hope and dignity. Each and every BRC staff member makes heroic contributions to our city, providing vital services in times of crisis and need.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, serve and clean up after meals.
  • Responsible for proper storage of food.
  • Maintain refrigerators, freezers, and other appliances.
  • Receive food deliveries.
  • Pick up food and supplies as needed.
  • Assist with general cleaning of facilities as needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have certificate in food protection.
  • TB clearance required.
  • Vaccination preferred but not required.

Work Type

  • Full-time
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Sunday-Thursday 11am-7:30pm

Education Level

  • HS diploma or GED preferred.
