About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II for our Currents team, responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving our large-scale data export system. This role involves leveraging experience and teamwork to tackle significant engineering challenges within a critical data streaming system, with an emphasis on utilizing AI to enhance efficiency and optimize execution.
Responsibilities
- Building, maintaining, and evolving the Currents data export system at scale.
- Serving as a key engineer on a collaborative team, bringing projects from concept to production.
- Improving existing high-scale systems.
- Leveraging experience, skills, and teamwork to tackle engineering challenges of a critical data streaming system.
- Identifying solutions to challenges and developing skills to optimize execution, utilizing AI.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
- Experience building foundational systems at scale.
- Experience spearheading software projects that significantly advanced organizational goals.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and mentor engineers.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Experience with Kafka at scale, or comparable technology.
