About the Role

Wingstop Canada is growing fast, and every new restaurant needs well-trained team members and shift leaders ready to run a great shift. The Field Trainer is the person who gets them there — leading the classroom, running the training shifts, and certifying that each person is ready before they step into the role. This is a hands-on training role for a strong operator who loves developing people. You will teach team members and shift leaders both in the classroom and on the floor, and you will hold the standard on who is ready to be certified. It is also a role built for growth: the Field Trainer is a development path toward restaurant leadership, with the opportunity to build toward a General Manager role over time while training courses in restaurant management run alongside the job.

Responsibilities

  • Run training shifts in the restaurants, evaluating on-the-job performance and certifying readiness for team member or shift leader roles.
  • Lead classroom training for team members and shift leaders, delivering curriculum clearly and consistently.
  • Assess team members and shift leaders for readiness to become certified trainers.
  • Maintain high standards for readiness, certify only those who meet them, provide clear feedback, and ensure training consistency across restaurants.

Requirements

  • Top-performing restaurant leader ready to develop others full-time.
  • Expert-level restaurant experience at the senior shift leader level or above, ideally Assistant General Manager.
  • Full command of front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Natural trainer and coach with enjoyment in developing people.
  • Ability to teach in both classroom and on-the-floor settings.
  • High standards and confidence to uphold them.
  • Ability to provide honest, useful feedback.
  • Strong communication and group presence.
  • Ability to keep training clear, consistent, and engaging.
  • Ambition to grow into restaurant leadership.
  • Drive to take on management training and build toward a General Manager role.
