About the Role
This role will support SpinCo, a new independent public company focused on digital infrastructure and power/thermal management solutions for AI data centers. It's a unique opportunity to join during the company's formative stage and help shape its processes, culture, and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, review, and timely filing of SEC reports (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), with primary responsibility for assigned footnotes, MD&A sections, and supporting schedules.
- Compile and analyze financial and nonfinancial information for SEC filings, coordinating with various departments for accuracy.
- Research new and proposed SEC and FASB accounting and disclosure requirements, documenting conclusions and updating disclosures/policies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, preparing supporting documentation for SEC reporting and audits.
- Support SOX compliance over SEC reporting, including control documentation, disclosure checklists, and variance analyses.
- Assist with accounting and disclosure matters involving equity, stock-based compensation, earnings per share, goodwill, acquisitions, and complex transactions.
- Support special projects and process improvements for external reporting and corporate accounting.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in financial reporting/accounting, including SEC reporting, at a public company or public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Working knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and 10-Q/10-K filing mechanics.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent cross-team communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, tax, and audit teams.
