About the Role
This role participates in the planning, preparation, and review of NPCC regulatory filings and post-filing responses. The individual will interface with ISO-NE and coordinate required filings, ensuring proper reporting of NERC and ISO-NE requirements. Activities include coordinating with transmission operations and providing analytical support for regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Verify compliance with engineering/test/maintenance standards and requirements by working with and reviewing records submitted by SMEs.
- Assign and follow up on SME tasks through Archer.
- Prepare and discuss NERC Event Analysis reports with SME’s.
- Conduct and coordinate Self Assessments, Reportability Determinations and Internal Controls Evaluations.
- Provide analytical support to the Manager of Reliability Compliance.
- Coordinate information gathering in support of all NERC, NPCC and ISO-NE related filings.
- Assist in maintaining up-to-date records of all applicable rules and regulations in the Archer & Compliance Universe.
- Oversee and provide input to regulatory filings for Transmission.
- Provide support in the preparation of presentations to management, regulators, and other audiences.
- Build and maintain networks of key contacts across SME groups within Eversource.
- Create/maintain/update compliance-related trainings such as CIP.
- Develop knowledge across NERC standards applicable to Eversource and become an SME for assigned standards.
- Participate in NATF/EEI and NPCC groups as assigned.
- Respond to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs, which may include assisting during an emergency outside of normal responsibilities, work hours, and location.
Requirements
- Familiarity with utility industry preferred, especially Transmission.
- Database management expertise.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.
- Experience in regulatory reporting is desirable.
- Demonstrates competency and proficiency in oral and written communications.
- Demonstrates strong analytical reasoning skills.
- Ability to apply knowledge to solve problems.
- Responds promptly and deals constructively with other employees.
- Understanding of electrical power engineering principles is desirable.
- Strong team building skills.
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
