About the Role
This role will support SpinCo, a new independent publicly traded company focused on digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. This is a unique opportunity to join during the company's formative stage and help shape its processes, culture, and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, accurately report, and file SEC reports for a publicly traded company, including Forms 10K, 10Q, 8K, ensuring timely filings.
- Stay current on new pronouncements and technical accounting issues, analyzing and researching SEC and FASB standards to assess impact and update corporate accounting policy and disclosures.
- Liaise with finance, accounting, legal counsel, and external auditors.
- Partner with SOX program and global accounting teams to maintain SOX compliance over SEC reporting.
- Develop and maintain global accounting policies, manage complex accounting areas (equity, stock-based compensation, EPS, goodwill), and provide technical assessments for non-standard transactions.
- Manage and develop a direct report, providing exposure to external reporting and corporate accounting activities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a financial reporting/accounting role, including SEC reporting, at a public company or a public accounting firm.
- Licensed CPA, or CPA exams passed.
- Experience with OneStream and Workiva is preferred.
- Deep technical knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and 10-K/10-Q filing mechanics, including iXBRL and Workiva.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP as applied to complex areas such as equity, stock-based compensation, EPS, and goodwill.
- Working knowledge of SOX compliance processes and internal controls over financial reporting.
- Ability to lead and develop teams, coordinate cross-functional and external stakeholders, and drive processes efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
