About the Role

As the first point of guest contact, this position is responsible for explaining ticket packages, assisting with decision-making, and providing direction to ensure guests have the best possible visit to the CN Tower and the city.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver information and recommendations on all CN Tower products and services.
  • Present a professional image and act as a CN Tower and Toronto ambassador.
  • Provide information about the City of Toronto and surrounding areas, including current events.
  • Execute role with a demonstrated quality focus and delivery.
  • Interact with visitors to ensure an interactive and entertaining visit while managing guest flow.
  • Assist guests with kiosk transactions and ticket verification.
  • Answer and assist with guest inquiries received through phone, voicemail, and email.
  • Ensure delivery of all attraction ticket sales, including group sales, per service excellence standards.
  • Produce various reports, perform administrative tasks, and assist management as needed.
  • Assist with the administration of marketing promotions and sales incentives.
  • Direct guest flow and operate greeting and elevator positions.
  • Serve as a liaison to various departments as required.
  • Ensure each guest interaction meets service excellence standards by providing a friendly environment.
  • Maintain solid product knowledge and all other aspects of guest servicing.
  • Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
  • Accurately and efficiently operate the point of sales (POS) system.
  • Accurately maintain all cash at the till and secure handling of cash equivalents.
  • Employ counterfeit measures to verify cash, debit cards, credit cards, corporate cheques, vouchers, and gift certificates.
  • Process all group sales ticketing on site.
  • Take and process ad hoc group reservations under parameters set by the Group Sales department.
  • Provide guests with detailed information on CN Tower products and services.
  • Liaise with 360 Restaurant for dining reservations.
  • Liaise with EdgeWalk for reservations and accurate information on services.
  • Provide communication to Guest Services staff as required.

Requirements

  • Admissions/Box Office sales experience is an asset.
  • Retail loss prevention, group sales and/or hospitality and tourism experience and/or education is an asset.
  • Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, conflicting demands, frequent interruptions, and heavy workloads.
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of the day.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Requires handling of light and infrequently moderate weight objects.
