About the Role
The Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club is seeking a Contract Part-time Server Assistant to support its Food & Beverage Department. This role involves assisting with serving members and guests in dining areas, ensuring exceptional experiences within a welcoming culture.
Responsibilities
- Act as a first point of contact for Club Members and Guests by greeting and guiding them to their reserved tables.
- Partner with kitchen and front-line food & beverage staff to efficiently move food, flatware, etc., focusing on service, efficiency, and consistency.
- Provide friendly, courteous service to all guests and team members.
- Continuously clean, set, and re-set tables, taking responsibility for assigned areas.
- Enforce and comply with safe-food handling practices and maintain a sanitary working environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed.
Requirements
- Some experience with food serving and public relations in hospitality or recreation related industry.
- Experience in the private Club and/or Hospitality industry.
- Capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing moderate weight (up to approx. 40 lbs.).
- High levels of initiative and dedication to providing exceptional service.
- Ability to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Mandatory availability on Friday-Sunday and open availability, including weeknights, weekends & statutory holidays.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Smart Serve certification is an asset.
