About the Role
Mad Science of Long Island is seeking energetic and outgoing STEM Educators to deliver exciting science workshops to children across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to inspire young minds through hands-on science experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead fun, interactive, 1-hour STEM workshops and hands-on science demonstrations for preschool and elementary-aged children.
- Use humor, enthusiasm, personality, and silliness to keep children engaged.
- Pick up workshop kits from the office and travel to various locations including schools, camps, and community centers.
- Arrive on time, set up the workshop efficiently, deliver an engaging experience, and leave the space clean.
- Transform science concepts into memorable hands-on experiences for children.
Requirements
- Must have experience working with preschool or elementary-aged children in an interactive setting.
- Must be outgoing, personable, energetic, and comfortable being animated and silly in front of a group.
- Must have reliable transportation capable of transporting a medium-sized workshop kit.
- Must be able to drive throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
- Must be reliable, punctual, prepared, and enthusiastic.
