About the Role

Founding-team opportunity to architect media management infrastructure for millions of creatives, shaping products used across iOS and macOS at Apple's scale. You will set the direction for cloud syncing architecture, on-device storage, and cross-platform media management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture for cloud syncing and media management features.
• Write performant, multi-threaded Swift code for a massive install base.
• Collaborate with designers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Bridge technical judgment with clear communication to influence product direction.
• Compound expertise in CloudKit, AVKit, and on-device storage.
• Raise the technical bar for engineers through mentorship and architectural leadership.

Requirements

• 3+ years shipping production code on Apple platforms (iOS and/or macOS) with a track record of reliability and scale.
• Advanced Swift proficiency demonstrated through shipped frameworks, performance-critical systems, or large codebases.
• Deep expertise in cloud syncing architectures and media management technologies, applied to real consumer or professional products.
• Proven technical lead experience: owning scoping, cross-team coordination, and stakeholder communication on multi-quarter features.
• Strong command of concurrency patterns and multi-threaded programming, with measurable outcomes in correctness and throughput.
• Solid computer science foundations: data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design applied at production scale.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering experience.
