About the Role

The Fundamental Strategies platform at Sixth Street is an opportunistic investment strategy focused on stressed and distressed credit and special situations in public markets. Responsibilities

  • Analyze themes and identify investment opportunities across industries and capital structures, primarily in stressed and distressed credit.
  • Conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis, focusing on risk and return, to underwrite potential stressed and distressed investments across diverse industries, asset types, and investment strategies.
  • Perform detailed financial modeling of potential investments and lead due diligence efforts.
  • Analyze financial statements, financing terms, covenants, legal/bankruptcy documents, restructuring plans, capital/corporate structures, industry trends, market technicals, and other items related to stressed and distressed investments.
  • Collaborate effectively with attorneys, brokers, bankers, and consultants to evaluate, source, negotiate, and structure investment transactions.
  • Manage portfolio investments and restructurings.
  • Contribute to business building efforts as part of a growing team, potentially including the formation of additional investment vehicles.
  • Prepare investment memoranda outlining the investment thesis with supporting financial analysis, research, and an overview of investment risks and returns.

Requirements

  • Relevant investing experience within private equity, public credit, or stressed and distressed credit, with in-depth knowledge of credit and special situations underwriting.
  • Excellent work ethic and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Commitment to a team and goal-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity.

  • $175,000 - $225,000
