About the Role
The Electronics Applications Engineer II will provide customer technical support in both pre and post sales settings. This role effectively communicates product utilization challenges and customer-specific requirements to internal stakeholders, supporting North Atlantic Industries' products.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre & post sales product information, advice and technical assistance to prospects towards the goal of achieving new design wins.
- Understand project technical system requirements via telephone and email correspondence with customers.
- Advise and participate with prospects during customer test and evaluation activities.
- Act as the first line technical interface during the design-in process.
- Coordinate additional support activities and post-sales technical support with engineering departments.
- Ensure timely provision of documentation, necessary hardware and software revisions, specifications, test data, and ancillary technical requests.
- Determine product technical strengths and weaknesses versus competition in design-in contests.
- Communicate internally product challenges and customer specific requirements for resolution.
- Recommend specific products based upon prospect application and environmental requirements.
- Identify customer specific requirements and/or preferences as part of design-in selection.
- Consult with prospects concerning the appropriate utilization of company products.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities to determine hardware and/or software problems inhibiting successful product design-in.
- Coordinate technical support to overcome design-in difficulties.
- Become familiar with new company products and ensure documentation is current.
- Generate technical design-in status reports.
- Document special customer requirements and/or application utilization needs.
- Attend training courses on new products.
- Inform account sales personnel of competitive information or product difficulties learned from prospects.
- Maintain contact with customers to ensure continued technical satisfaction with chosen products.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident).
- Some positions require U.S. citizenship due to sensitive customer contracts.

- Familiarity with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience Level

- BSEE / BSET or a four year degree in a technical discipline
- Some knowledge of embedded Bus architectures (VME, CPCI, etc.), Processors and/or related products a plus
