About the Role
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position ensures classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and other school spaces are clean, sanitary, and properly maintained.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and remove trash as needed.
- Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment throughout the school day.
- Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning products and equipment.
- Report maintenance, safety, or repair concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for school events and activities.
- Perform other cleaning and building-maintenance duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning or custodial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional school environment.
