About the Role
Humber River Health is seeking a Staffing Resource Centre Assistant to provide support to the Staffing Resource Centre. This role involves daily liaison with patient care areas to determine staffing and agency requirements, ensuring efficient coordination of relief staff and agency personnel.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with staff, managers, and agency personnel to coordinate staffing requests and needs, ensuring contract obligations are met.
- Maintain ongoing communication with patient care areas regarding relief staff requests.
- Liaise daily with the Program/Services Coordinator/Manager/Manager on call to communicate staffing needs and outstanding agency requests.
- Collect and record statistics related to agency use and staffing requests from various programs, including running reports.
- Perform accurate data entry into Access databases.
- Undertake other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years of hospital and scheduling experience required.
- Preferred minimum five years of administrative/secretarial experience supporting management/administrative staff.
- Ontario Secondary School diploma, or equivalent required.
- Completion of a recognized Post-Secondary secretarial/administrative program is preferred.
- Previous experience in a health care environment is an asset.
- Experience in Resource Staffing or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook).
- Typing speed of 40 W.P.M. is required.
- Knowledge of Meditech computer system is an asset (Order Entry, PCI, MOX, Meditech Skills Database).
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and initiate work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Resourceful and innovative.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues/information professionally.
- Excellent attendance and discipline-free record required.

- Applicants will be required to successfully complete full administrative testing, including typing speed and MS Office.
