About the Role
Leads strategic sourcing and category management for global indirect spend, focusing on Marketing and IT Services, including SaaS and professional services. Drives total cost of ownership improvements, builds high-impact supplier strategies, and partners with senior stakeholders to create measurable business value in a fast-paced technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for Marketing Services, Technology Services, IT Services, SaaS, and Professional Services categories.
- Align sourcing initiatives with corporate objectives, budget goals, and stakeholder requirements.
- Analyze spend data, supplier markets, and industry trends to identify optimization opportunities.
- Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements across assigned commodities.
- Own supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance management.
- Establish supplier governance frameworks, including performance metrics and KPIs.
- Lead quarterly business reviews with strategic suppliers and drive supplier development initiatives.
- Promote supplier innovation and continuous improvement efforts.
- Lead complex RFPs, RFQs, and sourcing events.
- Negotiate pricing, service levels, commercial terms, and contractual agreements.
- Identify and execute opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and value enhancement.
- Partner with Legal and Finance teams to structure favorable contracts and manage risks.
- Develop supplier risk management strategies and contingency plans.
- Monitor supplier performance through defined KPIs, scorecards, and risk assessments.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and governance requirements.
- Support governance and compliance initiatives across global supplier networks.
- Partner closely with Finance, IT, Marketing, Operations, and Executive Leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and negotiation approaches.
- Drive alignment between procurement objectives and broader organizational goals.
- Operate autonomously in a fast-paced technology environment, leading high-stakes negotiations and complex sourcing initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
- Demonstrated experience managing indirect procurement categories, including Marketing Services, Technology Services, IT Services, SaaS, and Professional Services.
- Proven success leading complex supplier negotiations and high-impact sourcing events.
- Strong experience developing and implementing global sourcing strategies for indirect categories.
- Advanced contract negotiation skills with the ability to structure favorable commercial terms and manage risk.
- Strong analytical capabilities and spend management expertise.
- Expertise in supplier relationship management and performance management.
- Experience partnering with Finance and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to operate autonomously, influence senior stakeholders, and drive measurable cost savings and performance improvements.
