About the Role

This role is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of a powerhouse, including critical systems like Ammonia, Power Generation, Steam, Glycol, and Water. The position involves performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and plant policies in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily rounds and routines for powerhouse operations, including Ammonia, Power Generation, Steam, Glycol, and Water systems.
  • Maintain ammonia, CO2, Boiler, and Steam systems in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Execute preventive maintenance routines and repair completions, logging time in SAP.
  • Update maintenance documentation.
  • Participate in plant meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and maintenance planning.
  • Adhere to plant policies regarding Safety, Environment, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a Valid 3rd Class Operating Engineering Certificate. Consideration may be given to 4th class with all 3rd class exams completed within 6 months of qualifying for 3rd class steam time.
  • 2nd Class Operating Engineers will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial setting, manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Hydraulic or Pneumatic equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent sense of urgency, work ethic, and attendance record.
  • High energy and initiative with strong interpersonal skills.

Work Type

  • Day shift
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8 hours per shift
  • On-call responsibilities (rotates weekly)
  • Eligible for overtime pay

Experience Level

  • 3 years' experience in an industrial setting

Education Level

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid 3rd Class Operating Engineering Certificate
  • Consideration for 4th class with all 3rd class exams completed within 6 months of qualifying for 3rd class steam time
  • 2nd Class Operating Engineers considered

Salary/Compensations

  • $40.96 per hour
  • Progressive yearly increases as per CBA: Year 2027 – $41.00 per hour, Year 2028 – $42.03 per hour, Year 2029 – $43.29 per hour
