About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with extensive civil litigation, construction defect, and/or real estate litigation experience, including significant trial work, to join a growing practice, lead complex litigation matters, and play a key role in the firm's continued success.
Responsibilities
- Manage a substantial caseload, mentor junior attorneys, and expand the team as the practice continues to grow.
- Handle complex civil litigation and real estate cases from intake to resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents & conduct legal research and analysis.
- Advise clients on legal strategies, negotiate settlements, and represent them in court.
- Manage discovery, depositions, and all phases of litigation.
- Lead trials, court appearances & other proceedings as needed.
- Interpret and apply laws, rulings, and regulations.
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to team development.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to grow and expand the practice.
- Option to bring personal cases for a higher compensation percentage.
Requirements
- Texas Bar License (Required)
- 8–10+ years of experience in civil litigation and/or real estate law
- Extensive trail experience, including serving as first-chair in complex litigation
- Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload from inception through trial
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience or interest in mentoring junior attorneys
