About the Role
This position is responsible for coordinating and performing services, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for electrolyzers at customer sites. The role requires excellent mechanical aptitude, familiarity with industrial hydrogen systems, and the ability to respond to urgent needs to ensure continuous customer operation. This position is critical for interfacing with customer stakeholders, improving system designs, and resolving defects based on field experience.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to perform service and preventative maintenance on electrolyzers and other hydrogen systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform general maintenance on industrial hydrogen systems and components.
- Diagnose system problems and troubleshoot effectively.
- Read and interpret drawings and P&IDs.
- Interact professionally with customers and external vendors, maintaining a customer service focus.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision to achieve high-quality results.
- Develop and oversee the preventative maintenance program for electrolyzer field equipment.
- Monitor field equipment performance and recommend design enhancements.
- Engage with customers to solicit input on electrolyzer infrastructure and performance.
- Ensure safe operation of electrolyzer equipment and infrastructure.
- Respond urgently to field equipment repair needs and maintenance concerns, including short-notice travel.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Associates degree or vocational degree in engineering technology or a relevant field, or a high school diploma with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel in heavy volume and with short notice (up to 100%).
- High level of skill with mechanical systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Ability to diagnose system failures and isolate root cause.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
