About the Role
Continental Battery Systems is seeking a highly skilled, energetic, and collaborative employee to join their team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for business contribution, professional development, and career progression within a fast-paced organization.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product and pick up used batteries, as well as maintain and replenishes consignment products for customers.
- Perform deliveries in a regulated vehicle of over 10,01lbs GVWR.
- Assist retail customers and perform battery installations.
- Loads and offloads vehicles, prepares shipments, ensures warehouse is orderly, safe, and clean.
- Performs battery charging and reconditioning.
- Performs inventory cycle counts and complete counts.
- Maintains accurate documentation of all customer transactions.
- Safely drive a class B or C vehicle, not requiring a CDL, to regularly perform deliveries to support customer purchases and improved relationship.
- Manage and replenish consignments, recover used batteries, and perform customer installations.
- Perform warehouse tasks associated with shipping, receiving, labeling, loading, inventory control, reconditioning used batteries, and battery maintenance.
- May perform deliveries requiring DOT HOS records and medical clearance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; 3.0 or higher GPA preferred.
- MVR with little to no safety concerns within the past 3 years.
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
- Previous delivery or warehouse experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of courteous and safe driving procedures (including forklift), methods, and techniques in multiple vehicle types.
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, potentially using stairs or navigating uneven/slippery surfaces.
- Ability to occasionally carry product weighing up to 125 lbs, with participation in group lifts for heavier items.
- Ability to push pallets (using a pallet jack) or wheeled carts with product weighing over 3,000 lbs.
