About the Role

United Weld Holdings seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist to build and execute a scalable, high-impact recruiting function for a growing manufacturing and industrial organization. This strategic role leads full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions, with a focus on skilled trades, and is responsible for designing, building, and improving the company’s talent acquisition strategy, processes, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruitment from requisition intake and approvals through offer acceptance and start date readiness
  • Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements, labor market conditions, and hiring strategy
  • Manage requisitions across multiple sites and business units simultaneously
  • Ensure a seamless and compliant hiring process aligned with company standards
  • Lead high-volume recruiting efforts for skilled trades and craft roles (e.g., welders, fitters, operators, technicians)
  • Build and maintain proactive pipelines and “ready-now” candidate benches for critical roles
  • Execute hiring strategies aligned with production demands, growth plans, and workforce forecasts
  • Partner directly with site leadership to support workforce planning and hiring prioritization
  • Help design and implement a scalable talent acquisition strategy, including sourcing channels, workflows, and recruiting KPIs
  • Help establish standardized recruiting processes, intake protocols, and service-level expectations
  • Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, aging, quality of hire)
  • Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop multi-channel sourcing strategies including direct sourcing and networking, job boards and digital platforms, technical schools, trade programs, and workforce development partners, employee referrals and community outreach
  • Build relationships with local labor markets and training organizations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and site leadership
  • Provide guidance on market conditions, compensation competitiveness, and candidate availability
  • Communicate recruiting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Deliver a high-touch, professional candidate experience
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Support pre-employment processes including background checks, drug screens, and onboarding readiness

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting for skilled trades / craft workforce
  • Proven success supporting high-volume hiring and/or multi-site operations
  • Experience building recruiting strategies, pipelines, and processes, not just executing reqs
  • Strong knowledge of labor market dynamics in industrial environments
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracking recruiting metrics, reporting, and data analysis
  • Experience using job boards and sourcing tools (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn, industry-specific platforms)
