The Floral Designer will represent 1-800-FLOWERS.com positively, designing merchandise to meet the needs of both retail and in-wire customers.

Contribute to creating a positive store image.
Display knowledge of design principles, techniques, and current floral design trends.
Understand and utilize proper care and handling of all floral products.
Produce and design arrangements efficiently and in a timely manner daily and during holiday production.
Maintain standard make-up inventories.
Accurately price make-up according to store procedure.
Conduct professional and effective customer consultations for events.
Prepare all orders according to invoice instructions.
Assist in other activities such as staff training and workshops.
Perform daily maintenance of the design area.
Manage inventory and ordering.
Ensure turnover and rotation of flowers to reduce waste.
Control cost of goods on an ongoing basis.
Maintain a clean design area.

Follow standard recipes.
Conduct wedding, sympathy, and other event consultations.
