About the Role
The Investment Professional Development (IPD) team is dedicated to the growth and development of investment analysts, focusing on enhancing skills to drive superior alpha generation and improve investment processes through best practices, training, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Teach associates how to use artificial intelligence (AI) effectively and responsibly in fundamental investment research.
- Build and maintain approved AI tools and workflows for training and research practice.
- Create lectures, demonstrations, assignments, and case studies translating AI concepts into research applications.
- Develop reusable prompts, templates, Python scripts, document search tools, and workflow automations.
- Lead product development from concept to launch, including shared data and analytics workflows.
- Coach associates and resolve technical and research workflow challenges.
- Troubleshoot issues involving APIs, prompts, data preparation, workflow execution, and model connections.
- Incorporate emerging AI technologies into the curriculum.
- Partner with internal colleagues on approved data sources, system permissibility, analytics, and AI training initiatives.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in applied AI, data science, technical training, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, or a related discipline.
- Interest in financial markets and ability to learn about fundamental investment research processes.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience using data-processing technologies like Spark.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
- Practical experience building and maintaining large language model (LLM) applications or agentic workflows.
- Experience with web scraping, APIs, or other forms of programmatic data collection and ingestion.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience teaching, training, mentoring, or explaining technical concepts to non-technical or early-career professional audiences.
