About the Role
Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments, holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand and power tools and materials
- Make minor setups of equipment in assigned area
- Review production data to identify potential areas of non-conformance
- May perform tests or quality checks on assembled units
- Interpret drawings and identify needed modification and improvements
- Work with direct supervision
Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical training preferred
- 1-2+ years production or related work experience required
Skills
- Skilled in the operation of a variety of assembly tools
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good MS Word, Excel and MRP skills
