About the Role

The Wine & Spirits Customer Service & Support Specialist will serve as the liaison between the operations and sales & pricing departments, supporting daily operations within the ocean import and export of wine, beer, and spirits. This role involves managing customer purchase orders, communicating with overseas offices and clients, and processing information for rate quotes and shipment bookings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare forwarding instructions and Shipping Request (SR) documentation.
• Coordinate Importer Security Filing (ISF) information for timely filing.
• Verify Standard Pricing (SP) and SOPs for routing, rates, lanes, and FOB fees.
• Quote and obtain customer approval for FOB rates.
• Update and review purchase orders, communicating revisions and clarifications to origin offices, customers, and internal teams.
• Receive and review import booking documentation from overseas agents and customers for accuracy.
• Update shipment status daily, including order readiness, pickup dates, bookings, load dates, and vessel departures.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipment status promptly via email or telephone.
• Manage marine insurance coverage and costs within the WSSA insurance program.
• Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations.

Requirements

• Experience in the Freight Forwarding industry.
• Experience providing rate quotes.
• Experience with ocean import and export of wine, beer, and spirits.
• Familiarity with customer purchase orders.
• Experience communicating with overseas offices and clients.
• Experience working with reports.
• Experience processing applications for rate quotes and shipment bookings.
