About the Role

Dr. Oetker is a state-of-the-art Pizza Production Facility in London, Ontario, with operations in over 40 countries. This position works with the Packaging Department and Shipping/Receiving Department to ensure pizza is stored and maintained safely in our Frozen Warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Become proficient in all tasks, internal transport and functions within the warehouse outbound area.
  • Troubleshoot software or mechanical issues or inform maintenance for extended troubleshooting in automated frozen warehouse.
  • Ensure records, checklists, bill of ladings, border documents, trailer inspection sheets and all other documentation is fully completed and accurate.
  • Ensure optimal use of materials and equipment with adherence to health and safety and environmental requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure food safety is communicated throughout the process.
  • Strive for improvements in your own area and others.
  • Consistently follow all Dr. Oetker Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Proficient in technical understanding, reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, and verbal communication.
  • 3-5 years or more experience working in a warehouse as a forklift driver.
  • Possess a forklift license with 2 years or more driving experience.
  • Previous work experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to pass a forklift driving test performed in the London location.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Ability to learn a new software program.
  • Sound knowledge of personal health and safety standards.
  • Experience in hygiene and food safety (HACCP) in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work according to tight schedules and timelines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a cold storage environment.
  • Ability to work at heights, when required (proper PPE and training will be provided).
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and assignments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
  • Physical abilities include handling heavy loads (up to 25 KG/60 lbs.), manual dexterity, attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and lifting abilities.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to work in extreme conditions with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and stair and ladder climbing.
  • Own transportation, as public transportation is not available.
  • Must be able to touch and work with pork, chicken and beef productions.
  • Able to work days and afternoon shifts, on a rotating basis.
