About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst to join the ITAM team. This role is focused on leveraging AI and automation capabilities within ServiceNow SAM Pro and HAM Pro to modernize and streamline software and hardware asset management workflows. The ideal candidate is curious about emerging technologies, eager to apply automation to reduce manual work, and passionate about clean data, compliance, and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent or soon-to-be graduate in Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field who wants to build a career at the intersection of ITAM, AI/automation, and enterprise platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support automation workflows using AI Tools and ServiceNow to improve Predictive Intelligence.
- Assist in implementing ML-based software and hardware normalization to improve data accuracy in SAM Pro and HAM Pro.
- Identify manual, repetitive ITAM tasks and propose automation opportunities (e.g., asset intake, reconciliation, retirement workflows).
- Collaborate with senior analysts and ServiceNow developers to test, refine, and deploy automation use cases.
- Support software license compliance activities, including entitlement tracking, reconciliation, and true-up analysis.
- Maintain accurate publisher, product, and entitlement records within SAM Pro.
- Assist in preparing for internal audits and vendor software audits (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- Monitor license consumption trends and flag risks or optimization opportunities.
- Build and maintain ServiceNow reports and Performance Analytics dashboards for ITAM leadership.
- Track and report on key ITAM KPIs (e.g., license compliance rate, hardware lifecycle status, automation ROI, data quality metrics).
- Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Support recurring executive reporting cadences and ad hoc data requests.
Requirements
- Currently completing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in an IT-related role (internship, co-op, or significant academic project experience will be considered).
- Foundational understanding of IT Asset Management principles (software and hardware lifecycles, licensing basics, CMDB concepts).
- Familiarity with ServiceNow (through coursework, internships, hands-on labs, or certifications).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards.
- Eagerness to learn AI/automation tools and apply them to real-world business problems.
