About the Role
The Beverage Shift Manager oversees all Beverage operations during their shift, ensuring quality and efficiency in beverage services and property management, adhering to Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Familiarize with daily pit sheets.
- Check with Supervisors regarding schedule changes and call-offs.
- Be aware of staffing decisions made by other Managers and Supervisors.
- Check daily staff sheets and schedules.
- Ensure check-in is performed consistently and correctly, noting all switches and replacements.
- Verify all Request Time Off (RTO), vacations, and personal days on sheets.
- Check all outlets for potential shortages of liquor, wine, beer, dry goods, and glassware.
- Report all shortages to the Manager.
- Verify the validity and accuracy of all requisitions.
- Check all par levels and report discrepancies to the Manager.
- Ensure consistency and quality of products served and glassware used.
- Perform monthly inventory and as needed.
- Extend payroll at the end of the shift.
- Ensure all payroll is signed off and sheets are ready for the next shift.
- Complete attendance charts.
- Adjust all early outs and sickness at the end of the shift.
- Ensure all employees working have signed in.
- Document any payroll discrepancies and submit to the Department Manager.
- Ensure all employees sign out themselves.
- Treat employees fairly, equally, and consistently.
- Ensure all progressive discipline is handled professionally and promptly.
- Submit any discipline to be issued that day to the Manager for consistency checks.
- Document events needing investigation and turn over to the Beverage Manager.
- Complete a report for any investigation before leaving for the day.
- Contact the Beverage Manager immediately if discipline results in suspension.
- Read and understand all memos pertaining to the Beverage Shift Manager.
- Pass all information to the Manager via log book or memos.
- Communicate all information to beverage employees via bulletin board or verbally.
- Report all special guest requests to the Beverage Manager.
- Handle all guest complaints completely and report to the Beverage Manager for follow-up.
- Attend all beverage meetings.
- Log all pertinent information in the respective log book.
- Participate in shift turnover meetings with outgoing and incoming shifts.
- Operate bars in full compliance with liquor regulations.
- Inspect bars and pump rooms daily for cleanliness and appearance.
- Maintain clean and odor-free bars and pump rooms.
- Keep the office area neat and orderly.
- Perform bar duties.
- Conduct walks through the Beverage Department to note equipment repairs, work orders, project requests, equipment needs, cleanliness, employee performance, and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure casino floor surveys are completed.
- Ensure hosts or supervisors check each outlet for open checks.
- Pass on any follow-up tasks unable to be completed to the next supervisor.
- Read all log books at the beginning of the shift and log pertinent information at the end.
- Assist in other projects as directed.
- Maintain a current understanding of information security policies, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
- Provide exceptional customer service in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months of employment.
- Attend all necessary meetings.
- Work a flexible schedule in a 24-hour environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.

- Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment.
- Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
- Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
