About the Role
The Associate Director, Client Activation will manage and develop a team responsible for post-sale execution and service for integrated marketing partnerships. This role focuses on revenue retention, cross-functional collaboration, and client-facing communication to ensure successful campaign execution.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team overseeing integrated marketing partnerships.
- Focus on post-sale execution and white-glove service for custom offerings.
- Oversee revenue retention and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Act as a client-facing point of contact for program execution.
- Support Account Management with pre-sale strategy.
- Own the transition from pre-sale to post-sale for advertising partners.
- Facilitate smooth creative processes and maintain campaign timelines.
- Collaborate on client retention, renewal, and growth strategies.
- Oversee and collaborate with team leads and members to balance workload.
- Maintain direct responsibility for major programs.
- Hire, onboard, and develop direct reports.
- Manage team bandwidth and develop managers as coaches.
- Host team meetings and develop learning and development trainings.
- Work closely with internal teams to execute custom content deliverables.
- Manage on-set experiences with clients and internal production teams.
- Identify and evaluate workflow optimizations.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership and key stakeholders.
- Monitor creative implementation, tag delivery, and media execution with Ad Ops.
- Ensure KPIs are achieved and optimized from a media standpoint.
Requirements
- 5+ years of management experience.
- Manage a minimum of 3 direct reports.
- Responsible for onboarding and training of individuals.
- Manage continuous check-ins with direct reports.
- Responsible for developing talent (managers and individual contributors).
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively.
- Ability to provide direct feedback.
- Ability to discern when to be an individual contributor and when to be a manager.
- Ability to support direct reports on their day-to-day work.
- Ability to manage up appropriately to leadership.
- 8+ years of experience in media working with cross-functional teams in a digital or creative environment.
- Strong track record in client service and management with an eye towards revenue retention strategy.
- Self-starter who thrives in both independent and collaborative work.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and internal work relationships.
