About the Role
Support the setup, preparation, and operation of full SMT lines and all PCBA assemblies for manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the workspace by gathering all necessary parts and materials to initiate or complete the customer order.
- Assist with the startup and shutdown of full SMT lines.
- Support feeder adjustments in size, indexing, and type within the line program.
- Help with the setup and operation of various machines across multiple SMT lines.
- Load and verify feeders, replenish reels, and execute changeovers efficiently.
- Train to perform precise visual inspections at screen printing, bump, and AOI stations.
- Review and adhere to the Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering drawings, to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and engineers on the status of jobs, materials, and configuration issues.
- Utilize SAP (ERP) system for job-related and operational transactions.
- Carry out barcode scanning tasks with an understanding of barcode principles.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Awareness to stop work due to failing progress or potential quality or safety concerns.
- Ability to work independently or on a team to anticipate needs and set up the next shift for success.
- Respect and professionalism with all GE co-workers, staff, management, and customers.
- Ability to communicate effectively through email and instant messaging.
- General PC skills, knowledge of the GE network and GE specific software programs.
- Must be able to visually observe details at close range.
- Must be able to use repetitive motion with a high level of dexterity.
- Must be able to operate hand tools and computers.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of a work shift.
- Must be able to move about inside the manufacturing area to access equipment, files, etc.
- Will be required to wear protective gear, such as safety glasses, safety shoes and ESD smock.
