About the Role
Assist with the oversight of daily dietary operations, supporting high-quality meal service, food safety, and resident satisfaction. This role is ideal for a team-oriented leader focused on creating positive dining experiences and staff success.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily operations of the Dietary Department, including meal service, food production, and staff supervision
- Support scheduling, training, and mentoring of dietary team members
- Help ensure compliance with food safety regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies
- Monitor food quality, resident satisfaction, and departmental performance
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet resident dietary needs and preferences
- Support departmental documentation, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary School graduate preferred
- 1 year of experience in a dietary position required
- 6 months of supervisory experience preferred
- Food Safety Certification required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food service operations and food safety practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and resident-centered care
