About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Interior Designer to join our Science and Tech & Mission Critical Teams in Raleigh, NC. This role involves space planning, concept development, finish selection, and project coordination from concept through construction, offering a unique opportunity for leadership growth.
Responsibilities
- Assists in ideation, conceptual, and schematic design development to support client goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Participates in design, production, and construction documentation phases using Revit software.
- Participates in the selection and presentation of furniture, systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting.
- Generates designs with 3D models, Revit, Sketchup, or other software to communicate concepts.
- Develops preliminary space plans under supervision.
- Provides suggested details for interior design projects at the direction of senior designers.
- Researches and collects details for furniture selection with local dealers.
- Assists with construction administration, RFIs, project submittals, and project site visits.
- Ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
- Demonstrates versatility, self-motivation, and articulation.
- Supports the work of other designers.
- Possesses strong organizational skills.
- Shows a desire for continued professional growth and is NCIDQ Certified or on track for certification.
Requirements
- Requires an intermediate level of experience using Revit, InDesign, & Escape software.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively with the design team.
- Requires the ability to adapt to changes and elect most effective methods of accomplishing tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design/interior architecture from a CIDA accredited College or University.
- Preferred minimum 0-3 years related experience with interiors.
- Moderate proficiency in Revit, InDesign, and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Familiarity with building systems, codes and ADA requirements.
- Sketching and space planning skills.
