About the Role
Spectrum Health Care is hiring a contract Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our team in Toronto. This 12-month contract role focuses on creating a great candidate experience, screening, interviewing, and selecting top talent. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate in HR.
Responsibilities
- Manage active candidates throughout the recruitment process and provide best-in-class candidate experience from first contact to onboarding.
- Review resumes, phone screen and interview candidates, conduct reference checks, collect documentation, and schedule for orientation.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships internally to understand current and future workforce needs.
- Act as an ambassador of our brand to improve our employer brand strategy around hiring and retention.
- Manage active candidates throughout the recruitment process through effective communication to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Source both active and passive candidates with the intent on identifying, connecting, and recruiting the best talent.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a high-volume talent acquisition role.
- Basic understanding of the recruitment lifecycle and hiring best practices.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and eagerness to learn.
Skills
- Bilingual English/French is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
