About the Role
This role involves leading and managing hotel operations across multiple properties, focusing on maximizing profitability, enhancing service levels, and ensuring team member satisfaction while upholding brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Leads and manages hotel operations of multiple hotels.
- Directs hotel actions to maximize profitability and increase service levels and team member satisfaction.
- Ensures brand standards are met.
- Facilitates hotel meetings.
- Provides input into the hiring, supervision, training, assessment, coaching, and disciplining of department heads and other key team members.
- Manages conflict and resolves team member and guest complaints.
- Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules, timecards, and work of assigned staff.
- Collaborates with other managers to analyze costs, benefits, and losses of company profits.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Attends industry meetings and participates in industry organizations.
- Participates in and maintains active community relations.
- Participates in resort and corporate activities and meetings as requested.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate both properties.
- Extensive knowledge of resort/hotel operations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks.
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work in teams and independently.
- Excellent math and accounting skills.
- Ability to interpret financial data.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software programs.
- Minimum 3 years of successful resort/hotel operations leadership required.
- Prior General Manager experience is required.
- Flexible scheduling is required, including weekends and holidays.
