About the Role

Join the American Bank of Commerce team as a Teller and provide support and exceptional service in a professional work environment. This role requires adherence to well-defined tasks with a focus on completing customer interactions pleasantly and correctly.

Responsibilities

  • Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at the end of the shift.
  • Calculate daily transactions using computers, calculators, or adding machines.
  • Order customer bank cards and checks.
  • Cash checks and pay out money after verifying signatures, amounts, and sufficient funds.
  • Receive checks and cash for deposit, verifying amounts and accuracy of deposit slips.
  • Examine checks for endorsements and other required information.
  • Enter customer transactions into computers and issue receipts.
  • Count currency, coins, and checks for deposit or shipment.
  • Identify and resolve transaction mistakes.
  • Prepare and verify cashier's checks, travelers' checks, and money orders.
  • Arrange monies by denomination in cash boxes and coin dispensers.
  • Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customer accounts.
  • Explain, promote, or sell bank products and services.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as typing and filing.
  • Process daily cashier's checks, travelers' checks, and money orders.
  • Cross-sell the bank's products and services.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Adhere to all relevant security responsibilities.
  • Drive company vehicle to deliver and pick up documents and packages.

Requirements

  • Able to lift heavy bags and boxes of coin.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Must possess a "Can-Do" sales and service attitude.
  • Qualified applicants will be required to have a drug screen in addition to background, credit, and reference checks.
