About the Role
Lactalis USA is hiring a Warehouse person (reach truck) in Buffalo, NY. This role involves performing shipping and receiving functions, computer transactions, and operating a reach truck. Weekend work is required.
Responsibilities
- Operates a Reach Truck in a safe and responsible manner.
- Practices the highest standards of GMP’s and Quality Control procedures.
- Documents safety checks on tow motor prior to use.
- Ensures accurate documentation of all paperwork.
- Completes activity movement sheets daily.
- Rotates stock in a FIFO format.
- Selects the proper product for customer orders.
- Maintains a clean work environment daily.
- Maintains and operates the RF terminals daily.
- Performs monthly physical inventories as designated by the corporate staff, and performs cycle counts with the department manager.
- Works closely with the production departments.
- Maintains open communication between fellow workers.
- Reports any product or property damage to supervisor.
Requirements
- Experienced forklift operation/knowledge.
- Previous warehousing experience preferred.
- Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
- Knowledge of computer software.
