About the Role

Seeking a Research Associate II with hands-on experience in small laboratory animal in vivo studies to support animal monitoring, dosing, necropsy, organ collection, sample processing, and related study activities, including work with infectious and/or biohazardous materials. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, flexible, and committed to safe and ethical laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support animal monitoring, dosing, necropsy, organ collection, and sample processing.
  • Conduct related study activities, including work with infectious and/or biohazardous materials.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
  • Maintain laboratory documentation and record keeping.
  • Manage general laboratory operations and inventory.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of hands-on small animal in vivo experience or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated animal handling experience (internship or academic research experience may be considered).
  • Strong hands-on experience with small animal handling, administration/dosing, sampling, necropsy, organ collection, and dissection.
  • Experience with i.p., s.c., and p.o. dosing.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
  • Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and accountability skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a laboratory environment.
  • Ability to work a 40-hour schedule, including weekend or off-hours weekday coverage as required.
  • Clearly demonstrate animal handling experience and relevant research/projects on résumé.
