About the Role
Contribute to groundbreaking research focusing on understanding the role of intracellular pathways in immune cell phenotype, migration to tissues, and inflammation. This is a hands-on laboratory position applying molecular biology, biochemistry, and cellular immunology to elucidate disease pathways and validate therapeutic targets, involving close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Implement and apply molecular biology, biochemistry, and cellular immunology techniques.
- Elucidate disease pathways and validate therapeutic targets.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve research objectives.
- Isolate immune cells for downstream analysis.
- Perform hands-on laboratory work.
- Collect tissues from rodents (colon, spleen, lymph nodes, bone marrow).
- Analyze data from single cell or bulk RNA-seq.
Requirements
- PhD (or equivalent) in immunology, cell biology, biochemistry or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience in cellular and molecular immunology techniques including primary cell isolation from human blood, in vitro immunological assays and multi-dimensional flow cytometry.
- Experience in cell engineering (e.g. protein overexpression methods, CRISPR-mediated KO techniques).
- Hands-on experience in collecting tissues from rodents (colon, spleen, lymph nodes, bone marrow).
- Analysis of data from single cell or bulk RNA-seq is preferred.
