About the Role

Bausch + Lomb is a leading global eye health company dedicated to protecting and enhancing the gift of sight. The Vision Care Team promotes a collaborative culture that has driven year-over-year growth through market disrupting programs and product launches. This role is responsible for selling Bausch + Lomb’s contact lens portfolio within a designated area to Optometry Practices and Opticals, focusing on territory sales targets, new business development, and product education.

Responsibilities

  • Selling Bausch + Lomb’s contact lens portfolio within a designated area to Optometry Practices and Opticals.
  • Achieve territory sales targets.
  • Develop new business opportunities.
  • Provide product education, support, and training for existing and new customers.
  • Organize own work routine.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of promoted product key messages and consistently deliver these to customers.
  • Engage customers in needs-based selling discussions that position products as solutions.
  • Leverage clinical, business, and social needs of the customer to drive product adoption and build long-term loyalty.
  • Treat everyone in the office as a customer.
  • Adapt approach based on the circumstances within an office/clinic.
  • Manage territory like a personal business.
  • Formulate short and long-term customer plans to achieve sales objectives.
  • Take a bigger picture view of the territory to assess and analyze growth potential.
  • Develop effective business plans.
  • Analyze territory data to identify business opportunities.
  • Individualize selling approach using doctor-level data and customer knowledge.
  • Work the territory effectively to achieve the right call frequency on key eye care practitioners.
  • Optimize access to key decision makers and selling time within doctor's offices/clinics.
  • Meet expectations and requirements of customers (external and internal).
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor Degree, preferably in Business or Sciences.
  • 2-4 years of proven medical device sales experience is an asset.
  • Motivated self-starter with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible to adapt quickly and anticipate challenges.
  • Agile to learn and be coached.
  • Passionate and thrives on challenges.
  • Initiative to act quickly on business opportunities.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Team player.

  • Home base required: East Toronto.
