About the Role
Lifecare Medical Associates is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. The RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting providers, coordinating clinical needs, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Apply the nursing process and established standards of care to promote comfort, healing, safety, and optimal clinical outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, medications, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with providers and the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
- Act on standing orders as appropriate and manage daily clinical needs independently and in collaboration with providers.
- Triage patient calls and respond appropriately to clinical concerns.
- Room patients and prepare examination rooms for visits.
- Administer vaccines and injectable medications according to established policies and procedures.
- Perform Medicare Wellness Visits and point-of-care testing.
- Manage reports, patient schedules, referrals, procedures, and insurance authorizations.
- Obtain and maintain medical records and other clinical documentation.
- Assist providers with clinical and administrative needs.
- Maintain current clinical knowledge through continuing education and competency activities.
- Protect patient confidentiality and consistently demonstrate professionalism, respect, and effective communication.
- Support a strong culture of teamwork and contribute to a positive healing environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current New York State RN license.
- BLS certification through RQI within 90 days of hire.
- Strong clinical, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
- At least one year of experience in a physician office.
- Previous customer service or public-facing experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
