About the Role
The Insurance Coordinator's primary responsibility is to facilitate a seamless patient office experience, ensuring patients leave well-informed and prepared for their next appointment. This includes ensuring patients understand their treatment plan, insurance benefits, and assisting with financial arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Provide a smooth and seamless patient check-in/check-out.
- Answer patients’ questions and assist with intake forms.
- Responsible for insurance verifications, claims follow-up, and accurate communication to staff and patients regarding insurance coverage.
- Assist patient with financial arrangements.
- Phone coverage: answering phone calls, confirming appointments.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Practice Leader.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a dental office setting.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing and bending.
- Must be able to lift <15 pounds at times.
Skills
- Dental insurance/billing knowledge required.
- Must exhibit outstanding customer service.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport and work closely with patients and staff.
- Highly flexible, detail-oriented, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Dentrix experience a plus.
Work Type
- Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
