About the Role
State and Local Tax (SALT) Interns serve as members of client service teams, assisting in the preparation of state and local jurisdictional tax returns. Interns receive training to develop technical skills and may be responsible for tax law research or other related projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of state and local jurisdictional tax returns.
- Conduct research on tax law or other related projects.
Requirements
- Pursuing a JD or LLM.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong leadership, multitasking and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with and gain the respect of all levels of internal and client personnel.
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
- Will not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
