About the Role
As an Engineering Project Manager, you will coordinate interdisciplinary project teams to develop innovative products for fire and rescue services, from initial concept to market launch. You will work closely with the Global Program Manager, Fire Service, managing development projects in an international environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate interdisciplinary project teams to ensure timely and within-budget goal achievement.
- Manage development projects of varying scales, from product improvements to new platform generations.
- Work on a diverse product range for professional fire and rescue services, including helmets, protective clothing, and safety shoes.
- Foster open, respectful, and team-oriented collaboration.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, keeping everyone informed.
- Evaluate technical requirements, risks, and priorities to support informed decision-making.
- Translate customer needs into concrete product requirements and specifications.
- Support and motivate project teams, set priorities, and keep projects on track.
- Utilize project management methods and tools for transparent progress tracking and early challenge identification.
- Contribute own ideas for continuous product and process development.
Requirements
- Completed degree in engineering or a comparable technical field.
- Initial experience in project management, product management, or technical product development.
- Interest in collaborating with various departments including development, marketing, production, quality assurance, and testing.
- Enjoyment in advancing innovative and customer-oriented products.
- Experience with common project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar applications.
- Structured, organized, and solution-oriented work approach.
- Ability to communicate technical content understandably and appropriately for the target audience.
- Flexibility in handling different work styles and project methodologies (classic, agile, or hybrid).
- Team spirit, initiative, and motivation to take responsibility.
- German language skills at B2 level or higher.
- Fluent English at C1-C2 level.
