About the Role

As an AMD intern or co-op, you’ll be placed at the epicenter of the AI ecosystem, working alongside experts and industry pioneers. You’ll do important work, learn new skills, expand your network, and gain real-world experience on projects that impact millions of end-users worldwide. Responsibilities

Work closely with software engineers to build and maintain software applications.
Receive training on the full software creation process, from design and build to testing and deployment.
Build scripts to automate software development processes.
Learn debugging methodologies to investigate software issues.
Potentially be involved in crafting technical/functional documents and reports.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a US-based University in a Master’s degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
Knowledge/experience with software engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
Knowledge/experience with C/C++ programming.
Knowledge/experience with scripting languages like Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell script, Perl, Java, Javascript.
Knowledge/experience with UML.
Knowledge/experience with operating systems UNIX/Linux OS.
Knowledge/experience with databases, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
Knowledge/experience with cloud computing platforms, Azure.
Knowledge/experience with web development frameworks, Django, Rails, Spring Boot.
Knowledge/experience with markup languages like HTML, XML, XSL.
Knowledge/experience with defect tracking, testing, debugging.
Knowledge/experience with Git, Github, Perforce.
Knowledge/experience with security technologies, OAuth, SSL, or TLS.
Knowledge/experience with PC / CPU architecture, Embedded systems, microcontroller.
