About the Role

As an AMD Co-op, you will be placed at the epicenter of the AI ecosystem, working alongside experts and industry pioneers. You will do important work, learn new skills, expand your network, and gain real-world experience on projects that impact millions of end-users worldwide. Your contributions matter and your experience here will be a launchpad for what comes next.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in research and development of next-generation product differentiation features with extraordinary ML/AI engineers.
  • Learn innovative new technologies in Machine Learning, AI, and High Performance Compute.
  • Analyze and implement changes to algorithms to improve AI performance and user experiences.
  • Work on machine learning techniques to build applications for source code analysis and Image Corruption Detection.
  • Conduct research, development, and deployment in machine learning-based and computer vision products on AMD’s current and future products.
  • Fix and address problems with deployed AI to improve user experience.
  • Support AI software teams with roadmap planning, collateral development, and customer engagements.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a US-based University in a Master’s degree program majoring in computer science, computer engineering, data science / analytics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge/experience with machine learning, data science, computer vision, statistics, and mathematics.
  • Programming experience in Python, C/C++.
  • Experience with relational (SQL) and no-SQL databases.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
  • Experience with deep learning / AI frameworks like Pytorch, Tensorflow, Caffe.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
