About the Role

As an AMD intern/co-op, you’ll be placed at the epicenter of the AI ecosystem, working alongside experts and industry pioneers. You’ll do important work, learn new skills, expand your network, and gain real-world experience on projects that impact millions of end-users worldwide. Responsibilities

  • Support Product Development Engineers in characterization and building production test programs through parametric, data and statistical analysis.
  • Perform engineering and correlation studies to ensure yield, coverage and meet target goals for production ramp.
  • Resolve production-related issues and improve efficiency by working with multi-functional teams.
  • Build and maintain technical documents.
  • Debug manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors.
  • Participate in Product debug and characterization to identify product performance, process, and test sensitivities.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a US-based University in an Undergraduate's degree program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of transistors and computer basics.
  • Courses in computer science, software engineering, digital logic, circuit theory, computer architecture.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Skills

  • C++, Linux, Perl, Ruby, Shell script, Java or similar
  • GIT, SVN, CVS, RCS or similar
  • XP, AGILE, Scrum, or Kanban programming paradigms
  • Logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and debug
  • Knowledge/experience with technical skills (or related areas) and enthusiasm for the role.
