About the Role

Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire Multi-Sport and Soccer Coaches to join our coaching team at Field House Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a sports background. They will be expected to coach recreational classes, school break camps, birthday parties, and special events.

Responsibilities

• Be vocal and animated, bringing energy and enthusiasm to each class.
• Be punctual, setting up and cleaning up teaching areas before and after classes.
• Begin and end classes and lessons on time.
• Demonstrate and communicate drills and skill levels according to the Chelsea Piers Soccer curriculum.
• Organize classes based on athletes' abilities.
• Convey key points about soccer in an articulate and age-appropriate manner.
• Help teammates and teach in different classes as needed.
• Be prepared for each class, knowing students' names and program progression.
• Keep tidy, accessible notes about student progress.
• Complete progress reports and report cards by designated deadlines.
• Complete the Chelsea Piers training program.
• Attend and participate in all staff meetings and in-service trainings.
• Coach or teach all assigned weekday and weekend classes, camp programming, and birthday parties/events.
