About the Role

Indera is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to assist a 19-year-old young man on the northside of Syracuse. This role involves providing hands-on assistance with self-care tasks and personal care in the home environment after school. The ideal candidate will be creative, engaging, active, patient, and possess strong communication and independent living skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on assistance with self-care tasks.
  • Offer personal care when needed.
  • Spend the majority of the time in the home.
  • Assist with communication and independent living skills goals.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills required.
  • Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
  • Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
  • Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
