About the Role
Indera is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to assist a 19-year-old young man on the northside of Syracuse. This role involves providing hands-on assistance with self-care tasks and personal care in the home environment after school. The ideal candidate will be creative, engaging, active, patient, and possess strong communication and independent living skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with self-care tasks.
- Offer personal care when needed.
- Spend the majority of the time in the home.
- Assist with communication and independent living skills goals.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
